DESCRIPTION:Friday-Sunday\, August 17-19\, 2018: The Sauk County Historical Society will have a World War I Exhibit highlighting Sauk County's involvement in World War I at the Badger Steam & Gas Show grounds at E3347 Sand Road\, Baraboo\,  in Women's Building. Sauk County sent about 1\,000 men to serve in the war. Meanwhile on the home front\, everything was not quite so patriotic. Sauk County's large population of German descent had to come to terms with a was that often involved family members on both sides.
