DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, October 17\, 2018: Able Trek Tours features\n\nThe Cranberry Experience. Join us as we travel and explore Central Wisconsin's scenic "Cranberry Highway" in search of Wisconsin's #1 fruit crop - CRANBERRIES. We'll begin at Pittsville High School where students from the nation's only Cranberry Science Class will board our motor coach as tour guides. We'll tour several area marshes\, pick fresh fruit from the vine\, and observe testing\, cleaning and freezing of the fruit harvest. After a scrumptious lunch with special cranberry treats\, we'll visit Rubi Reds\, a retail store featuring a wide variety of cranberry products. Next we travel to Warrens\, home of the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center. Through videos\, interactive storyboards and historic exhibits we'll learn about Wisconsin's cranberry industry. Time at the Center's unique gift shop and a treat from the Taste Test Kitchen and Ice Cream Parlor are included. Moderate walking. Cost: $92/person (Includes lunch).
