SUMMARY:Sun Print Banner Making Workshop at Harvest Park
DESCRIPTION:Sun Print Banner Making Workshop. Join artists Emilie Bouvier and Sheila Novak in a 75-minute workshop in which you'll create your own unique lawn or garden banner. You'll learn about cyanotypes\, a "sun print" photography process you'll use to make your own small-scale (16") FLUVIAL-style banner like those featured along the 2020 Farm Art DTour. The artists will provide a set of writing prompts for participants in advance that invite reflection on connections to the land\, water and communities of South Central Wisconsin. They'll also suggest materials for students to bring to the workshop like plants\, farm and garden tools and other memorabilia that can be used in the development of their banner. Fabric and a yard flag stake will be provided. To illustrate a connected whole\, workshop participants will have the option to install their work in Harvest Park alongside the artists for the weekend. FLUVIAL NORTH\, a curated selection of the original FLUVIAL installation will be installed in Harvest Park from May through October of 2021.\n\n \n\nThe workshop will require consistent attention over the course of 75 minutes and is\, therefore\, best suited for those 14 and up. Younger participants (8-13) should be accompanied by an adult.
