SUMMARY:Lazy Beaver Canoe & Kayak Race
DESCRIPTION:The 23rd Annual Lazy Beaver Canoe and Kayak Race is set to be held on Saturday\, July 29. The Baraboo River has been exceptionally low this summer\, and an alternate race date of August 26 is set if low water would create paddling problems in shallow areas. \n\n\n\nWhile the one major jam on the river between Douglas Landing (the Lake Redstone outlet) and Reedsburg was cleared on Saturday\, June 24\, three major jams remain between LaValle and Douglas. Plans are underway to clear those when the water gets high enough to get a boat down to the jams. \n\n\n\nEntry forms for the Lazy Beaver are available at the Reedsburg Chamber office\, the Kiwanis Facebook page. You can also register online at friendsoftheboo.org.
