SUMMARY:First Maple Tree Tapping Event at the Hartje Center
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 16\, 2019\, 10 AM:The School District of Reedsburg's Hartje Outdoor Learning Center is hosting the official First MapleTree Tapping event for the Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association  (WMSPA). The district's Maple Syrup Education program continues to grow and now has been noticed by WMSPA. Through a new relationship with the WMSPA\, the district was 'tapped' to host the annual First Maple Tree Tapping event. Dignitaries from WMSPA\, the Department of Agriculture\, Trade and Consumer Protection\, local government officials\, and WI Maple Intern are expected to be in attendance when the special proclamation is read and a Maple tree tapped with the assistance of one of our district 4th graders. Since this is a state event we are expecting guests from other parts of the state to attend along with some media. \n  \n\nMore details about the event can be found on our website which includes a link to pre-register\, to ensure proper transportation. There will be NO VISITOR PARKING at the Hartje Outdoor Learning Center\, So ALL attendees are to park in the Webb Middle School parking lot and ride a shuttle bus.
