DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Necedah National Wildlife Refuge is hosting Welcome the Cranes. Visitor Center is open from 9 AM-4 PM. 9:30 AM-3:00 PM Children's book illustrator\, Pat Dobrinska will sell & autograph copies of her book\, I Love You Unconditionally. Additional art will be on display and for sale. There will be also Special Crane Displays including Janet Flynn's Display of Nature Art and Origami Crane folding. From 10:30 -11:30 AM Wildlife biologist\, Brad Strobel will present the latest info on cranes.11:45 AM-12:45 PM Chili lunch (donations accepted). 1:00-3:00 PM Watercolor workshop led by Janet Flynn. Janet will provide all materials\, crane sketch\, and instructions to create a finished painting. (Limit 18 Participants) $20 fee. All proceeds go to crane habitat improvement. Enroll at Visitor Center or by calling (608) 565-2551.
