DESCRIPTION:One of the most anticipated traditions at Quintessential Quilts is the annual "Airing of the Quilts".  Quilts are hung or laid out to air\, refreshing them without the destructive wear and tear of washing them in soap and water.  This custom is always held on the third Saturday of July\, and the grounds and the house are draped with quilts from 10 AM to 4 PM.  This is an occasion to display both well-loved old quilts and the new creations of the year.
