DESCRIPTION:A Swift Night Out at the Old School Art Asylum\, 308 W Maple St\, Lime Ridge. Watch Chimney swifts roost. During the summer\, over one hundred Chimney Swifts use the brick chimney at the old school in Lime Ridge for their nightly roost.\n\n\n\nAs summer ends\, the birds gather and prepare for their migration to South America. A Swift Night Out is a continent-wide effort to raise awareness about Chimney Swifts and their need for roosting habitat. Learn about the birds as Sandy Schwab\, Wisconsin Chimney Swift Working Group\, gives a short presentation and watch the birds as they descend into the chimney at dusk.\n\n\n\nYou may want to bring your lawn chair and binoculars if you have them. Snacks by The Wormfarm. Live music by Rollck & Roma\, Tory Tepp/The Earthtones\, and Richard Shuman.\n\n\n\nRain Date: Sun\, Aug 25th. Free event. No RSVP required.
